What to do this Halloween in Tupelo

1.) Pumpkin Patch - October 27-31
The Tupelo Buffalo Park's Pumpkin Patch has been going on the entire month of October, but you can still visit the last week of the month. Visit the pumpkin patch to find that perfect pumpkin to carve up, get lost in the giant corn maze and have the opportunity to build a life-size scarecrow!

2.) Halloween Bash - October 29
Held at Kermits Outlaw Kitchen (KOK), the Halloween Bash will be your pre-Halloween party. However, this isn't your normal Halloween event, held as a benefit for the Montessori School in Tupelo, this bash encourages patrons to dress in outlaw attire and come enjoy some heavy appetizers from KOK and Neon Pig. Also, Jimbo Mathus will be performing music for the evening.

3.) Oktoberfest - October 30
Bringing the German classic to Tupelo! Featuring authentic Munich-Bavarian food, live music and naturally, beer. Better Brands will be featuring more than a dozen different types of beer.

4.) Halloween Trick or Treat at the Mall at Barnes Crossing - October 31
Need a place to take the kiddos trick-or-treating? Take them to the Mall at Barnes Crossing for the opportunity to trick-or-treat the stores inside the mall. There will be magic shows in the Food Court at 6 pm and 7:15 pm. Also, just maybe, you'll stumble into that store you've been wanting to visit and treat yourself while you're there.

5.) Pumpkin Carving - Anytime
There are few things that define Halloween more than carving a pumpkin. Get a group of friends together,  visit the Buffalo Park to find the perfect pumpkins, sit outside drinking warm cider and carve a pumpkin with your besties. Don't forget to save the seeds to bake them in various spices for a sweet treat if you're looking to take a healthier route than the Halloween candy.

6.) "What Scares You?" Caron Gallery Exhibit - Opens October 30
Halloween is the opportunity for you to face your fears and have a good time doing it. The Caron Gallery in Downtown Tupelo is opening a new exhibit on October 30 with a unique and frightening theme, "What Scares You?" The exhibit will feature several Caron Gallery artists biggest fears through artistic interpretation. There will be an opening reception for the gallery from 5-7 pm on October 30 and guests are invited to wear a mask that represents their biggest fear (optional, of course).

7.) Traditional Trick-or-Treating - October 31
Before or after you visit the Mall at Barnes Crossing to trick-or-treat you can take the kids to one of the many neighborhoods in Tupelo to visit some of our friendly neighbors for some treats.

8.) TCT's Haunted Theatre - October 31
A Tupelo Halloween staple. Before the Tupelo Community Theatre's dresses up the Lyric Theatre to be a haunted theatre of spooks and frights, the Lyric is already host to one ghost that likes to play his fair share of pranks. If that doesn't get you spooked, the production of the Haunted Theatre surely will. Be prepared to be scared.

  1. Good one! I am a schoolteacher very Halloweens I plan a party for the kids in one of the venues in Los Angeles and I keep a theme. I got some nice ideas from this post for the party this year. I can make them wear nice and scary outfits and a pumpkin lamp would be a great idea.
