September 17-23

There's something for everyone to think about in Tupelo this week.  For starters, there are several different live music events between Tuesday and Saturday.  This week is Homecoming Week for the Tupelo Public School District, and the annual parade and pep rally will be held downtown on Thursday afternoon.  Also on Thursday is the 6th Annual Art for Animals silent art auction to benefit the Tupelo Humane Society at the Gumtree Museum of Art at 6 p.m.  The Mississippi Tourism Association is also hosting a silent auction online that runs through next Tuesday.  The Tupelo CVB is hosting a Tupelo Tourism Leadership program, and application deadline is October 15th.  And are you planning an event in Tupelo?  See if you qualify for additional funding from CVB through our Event Promotion Grant Program.  Also, CVB is hosting a social media workshop on October 9th, and more information will soon be posted on our website.  Coming up next weekend is the Tupelo Fair at the BancorpSouth Arena, so prepare your stomach for corndogs and fried twinkies.  And be sure to take advantage of the Natchez Trace's promotion right now and enter to win a $500 gas card.  Out of this list, there should be at least one thing that interests you, so take some time to check it out!  Have a great week!

September 10-16

This week might start out slow, but it ends with a bang.  On Thursday, the Down on Main free concert series will end for the year with Della Mae and Emmitt-Nershi Band, so pack up your lawn chairs one last time and come out for great entertainment.  On Friday, head down to Court Street for the Fifth Annual Fish 'n Fixins benefit dinner for the American Red Cross, and on Saturday, check out the Boutique Bonanza at the Summit Center.  During the week, don't forget to stop at your favorite downtown restaurant and enjoy a deal for Restaurant Week.  Have a great week!

September 3-9

After a relaxing three-day weekend, Tupelo kicks back into gear for September activities.  On Thursday, head downtown for Downtown Merchant's First Thursday to take advantage of special deals at participating stores.  Then catch a bite to eat while enjoying the benefits of Downtown Restaurant Week that runs this Thursday, September 6th, to next Thursday, September 13th.  Make plans to attend the final Down on Main concert series and head out to watch Della Mae and Emmitt-Nershi Band next Thursday, the 13th.  Enjoy your week and remember: Columbus Day is only a month away!
